Nova Scotia Hunter Jumper Association – Coach of the Year Selection Criteria and Process
Criteria:
Coaches…
- Are in good standing with Equine Canada, Equine Nova Scotia and Nova Scotia Hunter Jumper Association for the year that they were nominated (January 1 – November)
- Displayed strength of character in the role of coaching
- Demonstrated achievement as a coach through athlete performances in provincial Equine Canada competitions
Coaches may also have…
- Demonstrated achievement as a coach through athlete performances in National and International competitions
- Participated in professional development in the area of coaching
Selection Process:
- Nova Scotia Hunter Jumper Association will compile a list of eligible coaches for the Nova Scotia competition year. These coaches meet eligibility criteria by being Equine Canada Licensed or have paid for temporary licensed fees per show, have coached at Equine Canada Bronze and/or Gold competition(s) in Nova Scotia and are Nova Scotia Hunter Jumper Association members.
- Each eligible coach will be asked to complete this Google Form, which will be their vote for Coach of the Year.
- In the event of a tie, the coaches will be asked to vote again for the tied individuals.
